The Minnesota Legislature allocated $205 million to Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) to prevent closure, but rural and non-HCMC hospitals received significantly less funding, including $30 million for a stabilization program. Hospital leaders argue the limited funds are insufficient to address financial crises exacerbated by federal Medicaid cuts and operational losses.
