Investigation underway after man drowns in Fort Lauderdale, police say

A death investigation is underway after a man drowned in Fort Lauderdale. Police received a call about a possible drowning in the 200 block of Southwest Second Avenue. Search efforts involving police, fire rescue, and the Broward Sheriff’s Office aviation unit led to the man being found and taken to Broward Health Medical Center, where he died. His identity has not been released.
