Pritzker pauses data center tax incentives in Illinois

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker (D) has paused the state’s data center tax incentives starting in July to address concerns over electricity costs and water resources linked to AI infrastructure development. The pause applies to agreements under the Data Center Investment Program.
