Nithya Raman quickly closing in on Spencer Pratt in LA mayor's primary

Nithya Raman reduced her deficit to Spencer Pratt in the Los Angeles mayor's primary, with the latest count showing Raman receiving 23,000 votes (24.9%) and Pratt 28.2%. Pratt's lead decreased from 33,000 to 20,672 votes, while Karen Bass secured 35% of the vote to qualify for the November runoff. Over 1.6 million ballots have been counted, with 543,000 remaining.
