‘You saved my girls': Man honored for heroic actions after Pembroke Pines plane crash

Nathan Gansert was honored by Pembroke Pines for aiding two women after a Cessna C172P plane crash on May 29. The pilot, Vanessa Ledo, and student pilot, Earlene E. Clarke Thomas, were hospitalized but expected to survive. Gansert received a Civilian Special Recognition Award for his actions.
