Miami Springs top cop Matthew Castillo appointed as Doral's chief of police

Miami Springs Chief of Police Matthew Castillo has been appointed as Doral's next chief of police, replacing Edwin Lopez who is becoming Miami's police chief. Castillo will assume his role on June 15, with a swearing-in ceremony on June 17. He has over a decade of law enforcement experience and is a graduate of Florida International University and the FBI National Academy.
