Officials see value of long-distance trail project in West Virginia

Officials in West Virginia highlight the economic and community potential of the 238-mile Parkersburg to Pittsburg (P2P) rail trail corridor, which has four remaining gaps. The project, supported by a $145,500 Appalachian Regional Commission grant and local partnerships, aims to connect trails and boost recreation, health, and business development. Fairmont is set to break ground on two miles of trail to close its gap.
