Passenger Charged After Allegedly Attempting to Open Aircraft Doors Mid-Flight and Assaulting Traveler

A Chicago man appeared in federal court after allegedly attempting to open an emergency exit door and the flight deck door during a commercial flight from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Chicago, Illinois, causing the aircraft to divert to Miami. He is also accused of assaulting a traveler.
