Trial set for driver who plowed into crowd outside East Hollywood nightclub

The trial for Fernando Ramirez, accused of driving into a crowd outside an East Hollywood nightclub, has been set for Oct. 5. Ramirez faces 39 counts of assault with a deadly weapon and 45 counts of attempted murder after the July 19, 2025, incident. An alleged vigilante later shot Ramirez, with the gunman identified as Efrain Villalobos, who faces firearm-related charges.
