Number of suspected Ebola cases falls by hundreds as testing ramps up

The estimated number of Ebola cases in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has significantly decreased from 1,041 to 437 as testing increased and ruled out non-Ebola illnesses. The World Health Organization confirmed the updated case count, which includes 321 confirmed and 116 suspected cases, alongside a reduction in reported deaths from 241 to 48 confirmed.
