Opponents of Axon’s Scottsdale HQ will appeal after losing first round in court

Opponents of Axon's Scottsdale headquarters project, Taxpayers Against Awful Apartment Zoning Exemptions (TAAAZE), will appeal after a court ruled a state law blocking their referendum constitutional. The law, passed to prevent voter challenges to Axon's zoning change, was challenged as underinclusive but upheld by Judge Michael Herrod, who acknowledged the law's direct link to Axon's project while deeming it broadly applicable.
