Family, First Nation chief share hopes for coroner's inquest into death of MPP's nephew

Jonathon Mamakwa testified at a coroner's inquest into the death of his son Kevin Mamakwa, a 27-year-old member of Kingfisher Lake First Nation who died in custody at Thunder Bay Jail in June 2020. He expressed a desire for improved mental health and addictions support in correctional facilities to prevent similar deaths.
