Ex-NY trooper sentenced to at least 2½ years for chase that killed 11-year-old girl

A New York state trooper was sentenced to 2½ to 7½ years in prison after a high-speed chase he initiated led to the death of an 11-year-old girl. The trooper, Christopher Baldner, was convicted of manslaughter in the December 2020 incident but acquitted of murder and reckless endangerment.
