Woman forged checks to steal $46K from Hialeah jewelry store where she worked, cops say

Geydis Cabrera, a sales representative at Casa Joyero Miami in Hialeah, was arrested for forging 57 checks totaling $46,455 from October 2025 to November 2025. The store owner discovered unauthorized checks made payable to various people and deposited into Cabrera's account. She faces charges including third-degree grand theft, uttering a forged instrument, and organized fraud.
