Video shows deputies at home of Miami Fire Rescue captain facing domestic violence charges

Maximo Vasquez, a Miami Fire Rescue captain, was arrested on charges of domestic violence, including using a cellphone to assault his wife. Deputies arrived at his home with weapons, and surveillance video captured their confrontation. Vasquez was previously arrested in 2025 for assaulting a first responder, and Miami Fire Rescue placed him on relieved-of-duty status pending investigations.
