1 of 3 men shot in vehicle near downtown San Jose dies

One of three men shot in a vehicle near downtown San Jose died after the incident, while the other two sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The shooting occurred at 2:19 a.m. Sunday in the area of South First and East Reed streets, and the suspect or suspects fled the scene. This is the 10th homicide of 2026 in San Jose.
