Dr. Edmund Pribitkin, an otolaryngologist at Jefferson Health, developed SemPresto, an epinephrine autoinjector designed to attach to smartphones using magnetic technology. The device aims to address accessibility concerns by ensuring users always have emergency medication with them, as his daughter’s reliance on her phone inspired the design. The product is in final design stages with upcoming manufacturing and human testing.
