Conn. Paralympian raises $250K in ‘Stronger Than You Think' swim-a-thon

Ali Truwit, a Connecticut Paralympian, raised $250,000 at her 'Stronger Than You Think' swim-a-thon to support women and girls facing challenges like limb loss. The event coincided with the anniversary of her leg amputation following a shark attack three years ago. Funds will provide resources such as prosthetics and water safety initiatives.
