Family of Fairfield student files claim, alleging excessive force in confrontation with officer

The family of 16-year-old Maurice Williams filed a claim against the city of Fairfield, alleging excessive force by Officer Bianca Camacho during a May 20 school incident. Viral video shows Camacho yanking Williams by his dreadlocks, knee-pinning him, and punching him multiple times. The Fairfield Police Department has reassigned Camacho and initiated an external investigation, while the school district is also investigating.
