Man fatally shot in Riverdale

A 41-year-old man was fatally shot in the chest on South Ellis Avenue in Riverdale around 10 p.m. Friday night. He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The gunman fled westbound from the scene, and detectives are investigating.
