Proposed power line project could stretch across much of Temecula

SDG&E proposes the Golden Pacific Powerlink, a 144-mile extra high voltage transmission line project through Temecula, Anza Borrego State Park, and parts of Riverside and San Diego Counties. The project aims to strengthen California’s regional power network and address growing electricity demand, but residents and local businesses express concerns about visual impacts on the wine country’s tourism-driven landscape. The project seeks community input and is projected for completion by 2032 if approved.
