H-E-B filed a construction permit for its first Dallas store at 635 Hillcrest Road, with construction set to begin in March 2027 and an opening projected for September 2028. Neighbors raised concerns about traffic, noise, and crime, but the zoning request passed 14-1. H-E-B claims the store will create 800 jobs and generate $24 million in tax revenue over five years.
