Man accused of killing Loyola University student caught with a shank while in custody, officials say

Jose Medina, a 26-year-old Venezuelan immigrant, is accused of killing Loyola University student Sheridan Gorman with a gunshot in Rogers Park near the Loyola campus. He was later found in possession of a shank while in custody at Cook County Jail.
