Man Awaiting Trial In Loyola Student’s Killing Charged With Having A Weapon In Jail

Jose Medina, charged with murder in the death of Loyola student Sheridan Gorman, was found with a weapon in Cook County Jail. The weapon, described as a sharpened metal piece with a medical tape handle, led to an additional felony charge. Medina is scheduled for a court appearance on June 1 for the murder case.
