U.S. top diplomat in Cuba shares video of meeting with opposition in Artemisa

Michael Hammer, the U.S. Embassy's top diplomat in Havana, met with political dissidents and the mother of a political prisoner in Artemisa. The meeting included Carlos Manuel Pupo Rodríguez of the Partido Unión por Cuba Libre and María Angélica Ramírez, whose son Denis Hernández Ramírez was rearrested in March after being released in 2021. Both were charged with contempt and public disorder related to 2021 protests over food and medicine shortages.
