Ex-chief of Hong Kong journalist union serving 5-day jail term after losing appeal

An ex-chief of the Hong Kong Journalists Association, Ronson Chan Ron-sing, failed to overturn a conviction and 5-day jail term for obstructing a police officer. He refused to present his identity card during a stop-and-search procedure nearly four years ago, leading to the conviction. Deputy Judge Lily Wong Sze-lai dismissed his appeal at the High Court, ordering him into custody immediately.
