Mayor Mamdani flexes political power with endorsement of Espaillat challenger

Mayor Mamdani endorsed a challenger to Rep. Adriano Espaillat and two other Democratic incumbents. Mamdani also opposes Rep. Nydia Velázquez's chosen successor. Espaillat previously spoke at a rally for Mamdani in October 2025.
