Congresswoman Frederica Wilson announces she will not seek re-election

Frederica Wilson, an 83-year-old congresswoman representing Florida’s 24th Congressional District, announced she will not seek re-election. A street in Miami Gardens was named in her honor, recognizing her advocacy for education and youth development. She plans to continue public work through the 5,000 Role Models of Excellence project.
