Activist Sylvia Collins among 3 killed in Dallas apartment explosion, family says

Sylvia Collins, a Dallas community activist and precinct chair, was among three people killed in a gas line rupture that caused an apartment building explosion. The Dallas County Democratic Party and local leaders praised her advocacy and service. A subcontractor ruptured an Atmos gas line during soil sampling, and a candlelight vigil was planned to honor the victims.
