Defendant Sentenced for Role in Alien Smuggling and Kidnapping Scheme

Jordan Perez, a 21-year-old Texas man, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for conspiring to kidnap and transport victims for ransom, which led to a deadly 2023 shootout in Charlottesville, Virginia. He pled guilty in June 2025 to charges of conspiracy to kidnap and transporting an alien resulting in death as part of Operation Take Back America.
