For the first time ever, Amazon is cutting old Kindles off from the Kindle Store

Amazon is restricting older Kindle e-reader models from accessing the Kindle Store starting May 20, affecting devices from 2007 to 2012. Users can still read existing books but cannot download new ones or reset devices to reconnect to Amazon accounts.
