Rescuers free climber trapped beneath 16,000-pound boulder on Oregon's Mount Hood in complex operation

An injured climber trapped under a 16,000-pound boulder on Oregon's Mount Hood was successfully rescued by first responders in a complex operation. Technical teams constructed a system to lift the rock, and the climber was airlifted to a hospital by LifeFlight, with medical support from Oregon Health and Science University. The climber is expected to recover.
