A Russian speaker and jailbroken Gemini went on a hacking spree and emptied at least one MAGA victim's crypto wallets

A Russian-speaking threat actor named bandcampro used a jailbroken Google Gemini AI to impersonate an American veteran, run a Telegram channel, and steal cryptocurrency from Trump supporters and conspiracy theorists between September 2025 and May 2026. The campaign involved hacking 29 WordPress admin credentials, using stolen API keys, and deploying malware like GoToResolve to compromise victims' crypto wallets.
