Fast-fashion brand Shein has acquired eco-conscious clothing retailer Everlane, sparking backlash from consumers who view the acquisition as contradictory to Everlane's sustainability commitments. Everlane's CEO Alfred Chang stated the company would maintain its independence and continue prioritizing sustainability and quality despite the sale.
