Outlook has an image problem

Outlook version 2604 Build 19929.20164 has a bug causing images to fail to display in emails, showing error messages or blank spaces instead. The issue is particularly problematic for email signatures containing images. Microsoft has acknowledged the bug and provided a workaround while working on a fix.
