Number of air conditioned UK homes doubles to more than 4m in three years

UK air conditioning ownership has doubled to approximately 4 million homes over the past three years, driven by increased remote working and rising summer temperatures. Portable units with lower power consumption are more popular than built-in systems that consume significant electricity similar to electric ovens.
