BD's CEO Tom Polen is combining lean manufacturing principles with AI and automation to drive innovation and efficiency at the medical device company. Since 2023, BD Excellence program has trained over 15,000 employees in continuous improvement exercises, using AI vision systems and other technologies to eliminate defects and optimize production processes.
