Years after UK Post Office scandal broke, Accenture and OneView Commerce bag contract to replace Horizon

The UK Post Office has awarded Accenture and OneView Commerce a combined £410 million contract to replace the problematic Horizon system, which caused one of Britain's worst miscarriages of justice affecting 736 subpostmasters. Accenture will manage system stabilization and migration to cloud-based SaaS, while OneView Commerce will provide retail and inventory management software. The replacement follows a statutory inquiry that found Post Office leadership and suppliers Fujitsu and ICL knew about defects in the original system.
