Google announced the expansion of SynthID and C2PA Content Credentials, technologies designed to tag image, video, and audio files with information about their origins, to combat unlabeled AI-generated content. This move aims to make deepfakes and AI-generated content easier to spot. The expansion is Google's biggest to date.
