Bug bounty businesses bombarded with AI slop
Companies that pay hackers to find software flaws are being overwhelmed with low-quality reports generated by AI, forcing some to suspend their bug bounty programs. Bugcrowd, a bug bounty business, saw its reports more than quadruple in a three-week period in March, with most being false. This surge is affecting businesses like OpenAI, T-Mobile, and Motorola.
