On the voting rights trail, bus riders to Montgomery retrace old steps while fighting a new fight
A group of activists, including Keith Odom and Justice Washington, retraced the final steps of the 1965 voting rights march in Montgomery, Alabama, to renew the fight for voting rights after a U.S. Supreme Court ruling diminished the Voting Rights Act. The rally, called 'All Roads Lead to the South', aimed to secure and expand political power for Black and other nonwhite voters. The event was attended by people of different ages and backgrounds, including students and union members.
