Philippines Asks Court to Deny Petition of Senator Sought by ICC

The Philippines has asked a court to deny a petition by Senator Ronald Dela Rosa, who is sought by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for war crimes charges. Dela Rosa, the former chief drug war enforcer under ex-President Rodrigo Duterte, urged the military to stop government attempts to arrest him. The ICC trial is set to take place in the Netherlands.
