USS Ford returns home after 11-month deployment supporting the Iran war and Maduro’s capture

The USS Gerald R. Ford returned home to Virginia after an 11-month deployment supporting the U.S. war with Iran and the capture of Nicolás Maduro. The aircraft carrier spent 326 days at sea, breaking the record for the longest post-Vietnam War deployment. The crew faced a noncombat-related fire and lengthy repairs during their time at sea.
