Colorado governor commutes sentence of election denier Tina Peters
Colorado Governor Jared Polis commuted the sentence of Tina Peters, a former election clerk convicted of allowing unauthorized access to voting systems. Peters' sentence was reduced from 8.5 years to 4.5 years. She will be released on parole on June 1. The case was closely watched by Donald Trump and his allies who sought to overturn the 2020 election.
