This Midwestern state leads the nation in home foreclosures as US filings jump by 26%

Home foreclosures in the US are up 26% from last year, with Indiana having the highest rate of one foreclosure filing for every 739 housing units. The top three states with the worst foreclosure rates all voted for President Donald Trump in the 2024 election. Foreclosure activity is on the rise across the US, but remains below levels seen during the 2008 housing crisis.
