Hopes grow that London Underground strikes could be called off

London Underground strikes may be called off as RMT union seeks talks, strikes were planned for two 24-hour periods from midday on Tuesday and Thursday next week, affecting Tube drivers and travel in the capital. The RMT members, almost half of London’s Tube drivers, are due to strike. Hopes have been raised that the strikes could yet be averted.
