NAACP asks US Supreme Court to overturn Virginia redistricting decision

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the Advance Project petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn a Virginia Supreme Court ruling that invalidated a redistricting referendum, arguing the decision nullified millions of votes. The referendum aimed to allow Virginia to redraw its congressional map, which Democrats sought to favor their party in up to 10 of 11 House districts.
