Phoenix Group makes AI data center pivot into Europe

Phoenix Group, an Abu Dhabi-based Bitcoin miner, is developing an 18MW AI data center in Lyon, France as part of a strategic pivot to small-scale AI infrastructure. The company aims to build over 1 gigawatt of capacity across Europe and the Gulf for approximately $8 billion, with construction expected to begin in July.
