Xi warns Trump over Taiwan

Chinese leader Xi Jinping warned President Trump during their summit that Taiwan could become a flashpoint between the superpowers and cautioned against a "Thucydides trap" leading to conflict. While the meeting started on a relatively positive note, no immediate breakthroughs were achieved on key issues including US arms sales to Taiwan, Chinese economic openness, and semiconductor export controls.
