AWS lets agents drive its virtual cloudy desktops – which could cost 500,000 tokens per click

Amazon Web Services has introduced a new service allowing AI agents to access and control its WorkSpaces virtual PCs. The service is currently in preview and recommends assigning unique identities to agents for easier activity tracking. This move could increase costs, with one study suggesting agent-driven actions may be 45 times more expensive than using APIs.
